World Rivers
& Fish Migration Day 2020

10am - 3pm
Sunday 27 September 2020

Ouside South Library, Colombo Street, Christchurch, and inside the CCC boardroom if the weather is nasty.

Ōpāwaho Heathcote River Network's World Rivers Day Celebration 2020 has combined forces with World Fish Migration Day to become bigger, better and is now World Rivers & Fish Migration Day!!

Well it just makes sense.

Join us at our central hub outside South Library on Colombo St with displays, workshops, activities, music, a small planting along the river banks, the photo competition prize-giving, a free barbeque, wander around with a giant kōkopu, draw some river critters, and find some fun facts to win prizes.

World Rivers Day is an annual international event, and one of the Ōpāwaho Heathcote River Network (OHRN) planned annual events to celebrate the river, the groups along the river and to bring people together. World Fish Migration Day (also an annual international event) was to be held in May, but was postponed due to Covid-10 lockdown and swells our participant numbers to include DoC, Niwa, University of Canterbury, Fulton Hogan, and others.

We hope to see you there!
