The Ōpāwaho-Heathcote River Network River Network was formed in June 2015, and became an incorporated society in November 2017. The committee meets monthly. Membership of the group include a mix of representatives from community groups who are working to protect or rehabilitate specific sites on the Ōpāwaho-Heathcote River, and individuals living within in the Ōpāwaho-Heathcote River catchment with a strong interest in and commitment to, the river.
To facilitate a collaborative network which advocates for the regeneration of the whole of Ōpāwaho Heathcote River .
An ecologically healthy river that people take pride in, enjoy, and care for.
